Arnall Golden Gregory Adds Partner John Bennett to Litigation and Employment Practices in Atlanta

Bennett represents employers, executives, and governmental entities in employment litigation, workplace counseling, restrictive covenant disputes, commercial litigation, and Fair Housing Act matters. He joins AGG as a partner from a national firm where he served as chair of the Labor & Employment practice group and the Restrictive Covenants & Unfair Competition subgroup, after spending nearly a decade at a well-known Atlanta labor and employment boutique. He will be based in the firm’s Atlanta office.
His practice includes representing healthcare organizations and other employers in litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, leave, labor relations, workplace safety, and other employment matters, and advising clients on workplace compliance, internal investigations, employment policies, employee discipline, and management training. He also regularly handles restrictive covenant, non-compete, trade secret, unfair competition and other complex commercial disputes, and maintains a national Fair Housing Act practice representing housing providers in litigation and administrative proceedings in more than 20 states.
A substantial portion of Bennett’s work focuses on proactive counseling, advising employers on policy development, employee handbooks, leave management, internal investigations, and other workplace issues intended to minimize legal exposure. Clients frequently engage him as a trusted outside advisor, often serving as an extension of their in-house legal and human resources teams.
Bennett earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law and his B.A. in English from the University of Georgia.
