Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer appoints Philipp Cepl to strengthen IP disputes team in Germany
"Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer has hired patent litigator Philipp Cepl as a partner in Germany to strengthen its IP/patent litigation practice covering tech, life sciences and automotive sectors."
Philipp Cepl brings a broad patent litigation practice covering the tech, life sciences (including pharma, medical devices and biotechnology) and automotive sectors. He represents domestic and international clients in patent infringement and validity cases before the Unified Patent Court and national German courts, including the Federal Patent Court (BPatG). Over a career spanning more than 20 years, he has participated in more than 150 patent infringement cases. He joins the firm as a partner.
Philipp will work alongside IP litigator Florian Schmidt-Bogatzky and partner Dr Ina vom Feld, enabling the firm to offer a three-partner team in Germany to support clients on the full range of patent litigation, including technology and life sciences.
