Proskauer Welcomes Emily O’Brien as Partner in Private Funds Group in Boston

O’Brien advises venture capital and private equity fund sponsors on the formation, organization and operation of investment funds. Her practice focuses on advising clients throughout the fundraising lifecycle, including the preparation of offering documents, negotiations with investors and the drafting of partnership, limited liability company and other governance agreements. Following fund formation, she counsels managers on the legal and operational matters that arise over the life of their funds. She also regularly advises first-time fund managers and has experience representing institutional investors in private equity investments. O’Brien joins Proskauer at the partner level in the Private Funds Group.
She is one of several Private Funds lawyers to join Proskauer this year, alongside partners Malcolm Nicholls, Zee Ahmedani and Josh Frankel; since the start of 2024 the Private Funds team has added 17 lateral partners across the U.S., London and Paris.
