Mills & Reeve appoints Peter Beisty as partner to strengthen Oxford employment practice

Peter is an employment law specialist who joins Mills & Reeve’s EPI practice as a partner. He joins from mpm legal solutions, where he played a key role in growing a highly regarded employment practice across the Thames Valley and helped secure recognition in the Legal 500, Chambers & Partners and The Times’ Best Law Firms. The appointment comes as employers prepare for changes introduced by the Employment Rights Act 2025, and will support demand for strategic employment advice, compliance support and workforce planning.
He will work alongside William Downing, head of Mills & Reeve’s Oxford office and a partner in the firm’s EPI team, to assist in the continued growth of the practice locally and nationally. His appointment will help drive the sector growth strategy with a focus on clients across food, automotive, charities and social enterprise, technology businesses including fintech, and ombudsman and complaint-handling services.
Peter said he was attracted by Mills & Reeve’s national platform and sector expertise and looks forward to growing his practice, deepening client relationships and supporting the firm’s 2030 strategy.
