LCA Studio Legale strengthens Tax practice with Franco Paparella
"LCA Studio Legale has hired Professor Franco Paparella as of counsel in Rome to reinforce its Tax department, focusing on the Tax Control Framework (TCF) and supporting Corporate, Restructuring & Insolvency and Litigation work."
Paparella is a full Professor of Tax Law at Sapienza University of Rome, an Avvocato cassazionista and a statutory auditor. He combines his academic activity with a long-standing professional practice in judicial and advisory tax matters. For more than thirty years he has assisted companies, corporate groups, public bodies and state-controlled entities on tax matters, extraordinary transactions, reorganizations and corporate restructurings. He has also gained experience in crisis management, having served as Vice Extraordinary Commissioner of the Alitalia group, Extraordinary Commissioner of Farmacap and Judicial Commissioner of the San Giovanni di Dio Fatebenefratelli Hospital in Rome. He is the author of numerous scientific publications and participates actively in academic and professional debates on key tax law issues. At LCA he will work in the Tax area, with a particular focus on the Tax Control Framework (TCF).
LCA’s Tax department, led by Equity Partner Roberto Pellizzari, will be consolidated by Paparella’s arrival, particularly at the Rome office. His experience is expected to develop further synergies with the firm’s Corporate, Restructuring & Insolvency and Litigation practices, enabling integrated support for transactions and disputes with a significant tax component.
Partners at the firm noted the strategic value of his appointment. Salvatore Sanzo, Equity Partner and head of Restructuring & Insolvency and Honorary President of LCA, emphasised that tax aspects now directly affect the structure and sustainability of restructuring solutions and that Paparella’s experience is an important added value. Roberto Pellizzari highlighted Paparella’s recognised academic authority combined with lengthy professional experience, noting that his entry will strengthen interaction among practices, especially in corporate transactions and litigation where tax expertise is increasingly strategic.
Paparella’s appointment is presented by LCA as a further step in the firm’s development, aimed at combining deep specialist skills with an integrated approach across its practices.
