He joins the firm's litigation, arbitration and advisory practice, focusing on major insurance losses and high-exposure disputes and reinforcing the firm’s work in insurance and reinsurance matters. Alexandre brings close to three decades of experience built at Brazilian law firms, where he advised clients on civil litigation, major insurance losses, aviation accidents and incidents, coverage analysis, liability matters and disputes involving significant financial and reputational exposure. Over the course of his career he has represented insurers, domestic and international reinsurers, aircraft maintenance companies, airport operators and airlines in complex and multidisciplinary matters.
His practice covers litigation strategy, judicial and arbitral proceedings, negotiation of judicial and out-of-court settlements, claims management in Brazil, and the preparation of legal opinions on insurance coverage, with an emphasis on risk mitigation and reducing clients’ exposure. Alexandre holds an LL.B. from the National Law School of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), postgraduate qualifications in Civil Law and Civil Procedure from Faculdade Ritter dos Reis, a specialization in Aviation Law from the Brazilian Society of Aeronautical Law (SBDA), and an MBA in Insurance and Reinsurance Management from the National Insurance School.
