Nydia Guevara returns to Hernández & Cía. as partner
"Nydia Guevara joins Hernández & Cía. as partner, strengthening the firm's Banking & Finance, Capital Markets and FinTech practices."
Guevara returns to Hernández & Cía., where she began her career and remained until 2006. She brings more than two decades of experience advising financial institutions, issuers, investors, fintech companies and corporate clients on domestic and international financings, securities offerings, project finance, the structuring of financial instruments, and regulatory matters related to banking, capital markets and financial innovation.
She previously held partner positions at Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano and at Miranda & Amado, and worked as a foreign associate at Shearman & Sterling (now A&O Shearman) in New York. She holds a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and an LL.M. from Columbia Law School. In June 2026 she was named Lawyer of the Year – Capital Markets at The Latin American Lawyer Women Awards in São Paulo.
In her new role she will work across the firm’s various practices and joins a Banking & Finance and Capital Markets team made up of five partners and fourteen lawyers in total.
