PBBR integrates Vasconcelos Advogados team

Duarte Vasconcelos joins PBBR as a partner to lead the corporate and M&A practice. He comes from Vasconcelos Advogados, where he served as a founding partner.
João Peixe joins PBBR as a partner and will coordinate the new technologies and intellectual property areas. He comes from Vasconcelos Advogados.
Felipe Ferreira joins PBBR as a partner to reinforce the real estate practice and to coordinate a newly created private clients area. He comes from Vasconcelos Advogados.
The integration brings PBBR’s headcount to 50 lawyers. The move followed negotiations between the two Lisbon-based firms, which identified overlapping practice areas and shared client-service policies as the basis for combining operations. Both organisations said they found alignment in principles and values regarding the practice of law, including a focus on client representation and internal management in line with the profession’s ethical standards.
Pedro Pinto, founding partner of PBBR, said the decision to combine the two teams "rests on a shared vision of the future of the legal profession and the development the firms aim to achieve in a legal market marked by growing dynamism, sophistication and demand." Duarte Vasconcelos described the goal as broadening and reinforcing the firm’s capabilities to advise on operations requiring greater technical demands or spanning multiple areas of practice.
