Simpson Thacher Hires Emma Rachmaninov as Partner and Co-Head of European Financial Services and Funds Regulatory Team

Emma specialises in non-contentious regulatory matters across financial services, advising sponsors, investment banks and insurers on cross-border M&A, complex restructurings and IPOs. She joins Simpson Thacher from Freshfields and will take up the role of Partner and Co-Head of the European Financial Services and Funds Regulatory team. Emma is recognised as a ‘Leading Partner’ for non-contentious financial services regulatory matters by Legal 500. She will co-lead the team following the retirement of Partner Stephanie Biggs.
Simpson Thacher’s announcement highlights that Emma’s experience will strengthen the Firm’s ability to provide regulatory guidance to clients across the alternative assets landscape.
