Dentons strengthens Prague Corporate and M&A practice with partner Jan Stejskal
"Dentons hires partner Jan Stejskal in Prague for its Corporate/M&A practice. He will focus on M&A and private equity, advising on domestic and cross‑border transactions for Czech and CEE clients."
Jan Stejskal advises private equity funds, family investment offices, financial institutions, company founders and corporations on capital raising, joint ventures and acquisitions. He is qualified to practise in England and Wales, in the State of New York and in the Czech Republic, and focuses on complex domestic and cross‑border M&A transactions, particularly for clients from the Czech Republic and the Central and Eastern Europe region. International legal rankings such as Chambers Global and IFLR1000 list him among leading specialists in M&A and private equity. He joins Dentons as a partner, having been a partner in the London office of Perkins Coie immediately prior to his move, and previously served as a partner at White & Case in Prague.
His arrival follows the relocation in 2025 of Rob Irving, co‑head of Dentons’ European Corporate and M&A practice, from the firm’s Budapest office to Prague. Irving, who is qualified to practise in the State of New York, has more than thirty years’ experience in mergers, acquisitions and private equity and has been involved in a number of significant transactions in Central and Southeastern Europe, working with private equity funds, institutional investors and multinational companies on complex acquisitions, business divestments and joint ventures.
Petr Zákoucký, partner and co‑head of the Corporate and M&A practice in the Czech Republic, said Jan’s arrival is an important step in the firm’s long‑term strategy to build a leading Prague platform for complex cross‑border transactions, while Jan Stejskal commented that Dentons’ global reach and integrated international team provide an ideal base for multi‑jurisdictional transactions.
