EY Abogados hires Puy Abril as partner
"EY Abogados appoints Puy Abril as partner in its Madrid office to strengthen the labor and employment practice; she brings 15+ years’ experience in labor relations, collective bargaining, restructurings and complex litigation."
Abril brings more than 15 years of professional experience and specializes in labor relations, collective bargaining, corporate restructuring processes, diversity and equality matters, and complex judicial proceedings. She joins EY Abogados as a partner and comes from Labormatters, where she spent the past five years. Earlier in her career she worked at other national and international firms, including Andersen and Ceca Magán Abogados. The hire forms part of the department’s growth strategy; the firm is led by Adolfo Zunzunegui.
Abril holds a law degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a professional master’s degree in labor law advisory from CEF. She earned a doctorate in labor and social security law from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, receiving a distinction for her doctoral thesis on collective dismissal, and continues to engage in research and academic teaching.
The appointment follows the addition of Alejandro Gil to EY Abogados’ labor practice in November, who joined the Barcelona office led by Simeón García-Nieto.
