Derek Bishop has joined Davis Wright Tremaine LLP as a partner in Seattle.

Bishop is a seasoned employment litigator with nearly two decades of experience defending employers in high-stakes class actions and workplace disputes. He concentrates on wage-and-hour class and collective actions, discrimination and retaliation claims, and other complex workplace disputes. He represents companies across agriculture, transportation, manufacturing and technology, and has experience before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, and state and federal courts in Washington and Oregon. In addition to his litigation practice, he advises employers on a wide range of workplace and compliance issues.

He joins DWT as a partner after nearly four years at Littler Mendelson P.C. He was previously a partner at Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP, where he practiced for more than a decade.

Bishop received his B.A. and his J.D. from the University of Washington.
