Mr. Mongone advises commercial real estate investors, mortgage REITs and private debt funds on complex real estate transactions. He leverages experience representing both lenders and sponsors and focuses on commercial real estate repurchase facilities, note-on-note financings, syndication strategies, acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures, with particular experience in distressed and structured investments. He also represents investors in development and emerging real asset transactions, including digital infrastructure, single-family/residential transitional and logistics sectors.
Mr. Mongone joins Kirkland & Ellis as a partner from Ropes & Gray LLP, where he was a partner. His recognitions include Law360 Rising Star (2025), The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch (2022–2026) and The Legal 500 U.S. (2023–2024).
