Allevato brings more than ten years of experience in intellectual property, covering strategic advisory, transactional and contentious matters. She advises Brazilian and foreign companies on the protection and commercial exploitation of intangible assets in Brazil and abroad. On the transactional side, she has experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts and conducting due diligence in M&A transactions. Her enforcement practice complements her advisory work by contributing to risk mitigation. She also advises clients on advertising regulation, including representation before CONAR, Brazil’s advertising self-regulation body.
Allevato holds an LL.M. in Competition, Innovation and Information Law from NYU School of Law, a postgraduate degree in Intellectual Property from PUC-Rio and a law degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). She serves as Vice-Chair of the Research Advisory Council and is a member of the Data Committee of the International Trademark Association (INTA).
