PCAOB Appoints George Kostolampros as General Counsel

"George Kostolampros joins the PCAOB as General Counsel from Venable to lead work on compliance, governance, regulatory matters, internal investigations and enforcement."

George Kostolampros has been appointed General Counsel of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). Matt Goldin, who served as Acting General Counsel beginning in January 2026, will resume his role as Deputy General Counsel.

George Kostolampros joins the PCAOB from Venable. At Venable he advised companies, boards of directors, audit committees and executives on compliance, governance and regulatory matters, and represented clients in internal investigations, government enforcement matters and regulatory proceedings. He previously served as Senior Counsel in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement. He is entering the PCAOB with the seniority of General Counsel.

Matt Goldin was named Acting General Counsel in January 2026 and will return to his prior position as Deputy General Counsel.
