Lowenstein Sandler Welcomes Thomas C. Pearce as Partner in Environmental Law & Litigation
"Lowenstein Sandler has added Thomas C. Pearce as a partner in its Environmental Law & Litigation group in New York, where he will focus on environmental litigation, CERCLA and regulatory and transactional counseling."
Pearce joins from Latham & Watkins. He provides strategic guidance to clients facing high-stakes matters involving environmental litigation, environmental regulation, product liability, and toxic torts. He has represented clients in major Superfund (CERCLA) and contaminated site litigation and regulatory matters, including Centredale Manor, BKK Landfill, Diamond Alkali, Gowanus Canal, Hudson River, and Berry’s Creek, and has been recognized by Chambers USA (Environment - New York) and The Legal 500 United States Guide (Environment: litigation).
Working with companies in manufacturing, chemicals, paint and coatings, and oil and gas, Pearce advises on regulatory issues under state and federal environmental laws and on transactional matters such as due diligence and ESG. He counsels sponsors, lenders and tax equity investors on brownfield tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act for numerous solar, battery energy storage, and onshore and offshore wind projects nationwide, and advises investors, sellers, buyers and underwriters on environmental, health, and safety issues that can affect transactions.
Pearce received his J.D. from New York University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of North Carolina.
