Barnes & Thornburg names Buck Owen chief operating officer

Owen brings more than 20 years of experience in professional services operations at law firms and financial services organizations. He most recently served as chief operating officer of a top Am Law firm, where he oversaw all business and practice operations. At that firm he also served as chief practice officer and as COO of the transactional practices. In those roles he helped lead the integration of new practices and offices, streamlined operations across a domestic platform, and spearheaded the adoption of generative AI and other advanced technologies for talent development and client service delivery.
In his new role as chief operating officer at Barnes & Thornburg, Owen will work with firm leadership to drive strategic objectives and lead initiatives to support the firm’s national growth and operational efficiency.
