Charles Russell Speechlys appoints James Paterson as Partner in Corporate team
"Charles Russell Speechlys has appointed James Paterson as Partner in its Corporate team to strengthen its private equity and private capital advisory practice."
He joins from Mishcon de Reya, where he was a Partner in the Corporate Department. He enters Charles Russell Speechlys at Partner level. His practice is principally focused on advising founders and management teams on private equity sponsor-backed transactions, exits, refinancings and management incentive plans, delivering conflict-free, independent advice built on over a decade of experience.
In addition to his founder and management advisory work, James advises alternative private capital investors such as family offices and privately held holding companies on M&A and investment strategies. Given his experience across both founder/management-side transactions and alternative private capital transactions, he provides commercial and pragmatic advice on deal structures, shareholder governance terms and incentive plans to help clients with value creation.
His appointment follows several other recent transactional and advisory hires at the firm.
