Capsticks strengthens Real Estate Litigation team with Partner Joanne Young in Exeter
"Joanne Young joins Capsticks' Real Estate team in Exeter as a Partner, enhancing public sector property litigation capability across landlord and tenant, covenants, boundary, adverse possession and highways disputes."
Joanne joins the firm as a Partner. She has spent much of her legal career advising public and quasi-public sector clients and brings two decades of private practice experience. She has also worked in a county council legal team, giving her direct insight into the operational realities and regulatory pressures of local government decision-making.
Her practice specialises in property disputes, advising on commercial and residential matters including landlord and tenant issues, restrictive covenants, boundary disputes and adverse possession. She also has particular expertise in disputes concerning highways, all informed by a clear understanding of public sector powers and governance. Her appointment is intended to complement Capsticks’ transactional real estate capability by adding specialist disputes expertise for public sector clients.
Her arrival also marks the continued expansion of the Exeter office following the addition of Local Government experts and Partners Lucy Woods and Ruth Yates last year.
