Fieldfisher France appoints Frédéric Sardain as partner to strengthen Tech & Data practice

Frédéric Sardain is a recognised lawyer in digital law who advises leading actors on major technological transformation projects. He works across all stages of these operations, from design to operational implementation, in the financial services (banks, insurance, funds, fintech), health, technology, media and energy sectors on digital, contractual and regulatory matters. His practice is structured around three complementary pillars: (1) IT and digital transformation projects, with particular expertise in IT contracts, negotiation, project governance and technology litigation; (2) digital risk and compliance, including personal data protection (GDPR) and non-personal data (Data Act), cybersecurity (NIS2, DORA), artificial intelligence (AI Act) and the internet of things (CRA), in both advisory and contentious matters; and (3) platform and e-commerce law, including intellectual property issues related to tech (AI, software, databases and domain names).
A Doctor of Law, Sardain teaches at Université Paris 1 Panthéon‑Sorbonne, is co‑author of the Traité de droit civil du numérique and serves as an arbitrator at the Arbitration Center for Internet Disputes. He is noted for combining legal, technical and academic expertise and previously worked as a video game developer. He joins Fieldfisher with the seniority of partner.
Claire Allavena and Maxime Seiller join Fieldfisher Paris alongside Mr Sardain as collaborators. No further prior positions or seniority levels for Ms Allavena and Mr Seiller are specified in the announcement.
