Sidley Adds Insurance M&A Partner Carl Hotton to London Office
"Sidley has appointed Carl Hotton as a partner in its London M&A and Private Equity practice, where he will work on insurance M&A and reinsurance matters."
Mr. Hotton joins Sidley from DLA Piper, where he was a partner in the Corporate group specializing in Insurance M&A and reinsurance transactions. He enters Sidley’s London office as a partner.
He has a broad cross-border corporate practice advising clients in the insurance sector, including property and casualty, life and the Lloyd’s market. He advises insurers, reinsurers, intermediaries and financial sponsors on domestic and cross-border M&A, insurance portfolio transfers, reinsurance transactions, strategic investments and joint ventures, group reorganizations and related insurance regulatory matters. Mr. Hotton has been ranked as "Up and Coming" for Insurance: Non-contentious by Chambers UK.
