Eversheds Sutherland welcomes Paolo Iemma as partner and Roberta Talone as associate

Paolo Iemma joins Eversheds Sutherland’s Banking & Finance practice as a partner, coming from the firm Gitti and Partners. Within the department he will focus in particular on regulation of banking and financial services. Iemma is specialized in the regulation of banking, financial, investment and insurance services, with specific expertise in asset management regulation and market abuse. His work also includes compliance and anti-money laundering rules, advising fintech intermediaries on launching new initiatives and developing innovative business models, and assisting in the set-up and authorization of private equity, venture capital and credit funds. He provides support to intermediaries in disputes with clients and counterparties and in disciplinary, precautionary and sanctioning proceedings related to the provision of banking, financial, investment and insurance services, and advises on extraordinary transactions involving regulated companies, particularly in the banking, financial, insurance and asset management sectors.
Roberta Talone joins Eversheds Sutherland as an associate. No further details on her prior experience or previous firm were provided.
With Iemma’s arrival, Eversheds Sutherland in Italy now counts 29 partners and more than 100 professionals operating from its Milan and Rome offices.
