gunnercooke expands international team with 19 appointments across UK, DACH and US in Q2 2026

In the UK, 14 professionals joined the firm. Real estate hires included Scott Pearman and Louis Manches, who joined as Partners in London, and Helen Bridgman, who adds Senior Associate depth in Leeds. Jason Wong joined as an Associate in London specialising in real estate finance, and Jake McLaughlin joined as a Real Estate Finance Associate in London. The corporate and commercial offering was strengthened by David Armitage joining as Corporate Partner and Kerry Linacre joining as Commercial, Technology and Debt Sale Partner in Leeds. Patrick Keown joined as a Banking and Finance Partner in London. London also saw senior Partner appointments across key areas: Kali Yau as Planning Law Partner, Sanjay Mehta as Tax Partner, Julian Pike as Reputation Management Partner, and Juliet Petchey as Partner specialising in Litigation, Contentious Probate and Compliance. The dispute resolution and private client teams welcomed Jonathan Weitzmann as Senior Associate in Dispute Resolution and Emma Newton as Associate in Family Law.
The DACH team added three hires across Germany and Switzerland. Mana Ghofrani joined the Düsseldorf office as an Associate specialising in Energy. Kai-Alexander Bischoff joined the Munich team as a Partner with expertise in Commercial, Corporate and Aviation Law. In Zurich, Pavel Izmaylov joined as a Banking and Finance Partner.
In the US, two Partners were appointed to expand the firm’s offering in tax, corporate and emerging technology-related advisory services. Patrick McCormick joined as a Partner specialising in Tax, Trusts and Estates, bringing extensive experience in private client advisory matters. Karla R. Pascarella joined as a Partner specialising in Corporate Law, AI Governance, Renewables and Sustainability.
