Oppenhoff Welcomes Dr. Thomas Fischl to Its IT and Data Law Practice in Munich

Dr. Fischl brings more than 20 years of experience in IT, data and media law. He advises national and international companies on legal issues relating to digitalisation, digital media, the Internet of Things, virtual reality, social media and the data economy. His particular areas of expertise include data protection, cybersecurity and IT compliance. He is a recognised expert in the legal assessment of emerging technologies and advises on technology transactions, digital transformation projects and the development of data-driven business models. He also has extensive experience on complex IT and outsourcing projects and in drafting and negotiating cloud, software and licensing agreements.
His arrival strengthens Oppenhoff’s advisory capabilities on European digital regulation and the evolving framework of EU digital laws. Oppenhoff has indicated a senior associate will join the Munich team shortly and that further additions are planned.
