BakerHostetler adds tax credit transaction attorney Nicholas Carson to Community Development team in Chicago

Carson joins from an Am Law 200 firm, where he was a partner in the tax credit group. He is entering BakerHostetler as a partner and brings experience advising on tax-advantaged investing transactions involving historic tax credits, new markets tax credits, renewable energy tax credits and affordable housing tax credits. Carson’s practice centers on structuring and advising on investment and financing transactions involving federal tax incentives; he works with corporations, financial institutions and syndicators on equity investments, tax credit transfers and acquisition transactions, and counsels developers and lenders on financing for tax credit‑driven projects. He was recognized this year by The Best Lawyers in America as “One to Watch” in both Tax Law and Real Estate Law and received his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law.
