Seyfarth Welcomes Matthew Huntsman as Partner in Dallas Labor & Employment Practice

Huntsman comes to Seyfarth from the Air Line Pilots Association, the largest pilots union in the world, where he served as Labor Relations Counsel. He is joining Seyfarth with the seniority of partner and formerly held the senior role of Labor Relations Counsel at the Air Line Pilots Association.
Huntsman has focused for more than a decade on representing labor unions and their members in negotiations, arbitration, litigation, and administrative proceedings, developing extensive proficiency in the airline industry. His practice covers traditional labor law under the National Labor Relations Act and the Railway Labor Act, collective bargaining and labor arbitration under those statutes and various public-sector labor statutes, and advising clients on all aspects of labor law.
Before joining the Air Line Pilots Association, Huntsman spent nine years in private practice at a labor union–focused firm. During that period he handled all aspects of labor arbitration—primarily as lead counsel—representing clients in disciplinary appeals and contract interpretation cases in both the private and public sectors, represented unions in collective bargaining negotiations, litigated administrative hearings related to employee discipline and collective bargaining disputes, conducted discovery, and represented clients in appellate actions.
Huntsman received his JD from the University of Kansas School of Law and his BA from Austin College.
