Broadfield Welcomes Ty C. Akkoyun as M&A Partner and Chair of Innovation

Akkoyun joins Broadfield from White & Case, where he was a member of the Global Mergers & Acquisitions practice and served as an official innovation champion for AI and automation. He is entering Broadfield with the seniority of partner and was previously described in his role at White & Case as a member of that global M&A practice.
Akkoyun’s transactional practice advises private equity sponsors, corporations, sovereign wealth funds, family offices and other investors on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures, business combinations, growth equity investments, corporate governance and related strategic matters. His work spans a range of industries, with particular focus on energy, infrastructure, healthcare & life sciences, technology and diversified industrials.
In addition to his transactional responsibilities, Akkoyun will lead Broadfield’s Innovation Committee, driving the firm’s practical application of artificial intelligence, automation and process design across legal workflows. He is admitted to the New York bar and holds law degrees from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and Galatasaray University; he speaks English, French and Turkish.
