Freshfields appoints Pablo González Mosqueira as partner to head private equity in Spain

González Mosqueira joins Freshfields from Pérez Llorca, where he served as a partner in the Corporate/M&A and Private Equity practice. Widely regarded as one of Spain’s leading transactional lawyers, he brings more than two decades of experience advising private equity funds, multinational corporations, listed companies and financial institutions on significant corporate transactions in the Spanish market. He began his career at another prominent Spanish law firm, joined Pérez Llorca in 2006 and was promoted to partner in 2014.
His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets transactions, corporate restructurings, takeover bids, joint ventures and corporate governance matters. He holds a Law Degree and a Diploma in Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia Comillas and an LL.M. in Business Law from IE Law School, and has taught corporate and business law at IE and contributed to postgraduate programmes at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
