Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer hires Ana Julia García as of counsel in Madrid real estate practice

García brings nearly two decades of experience advising domestic and international clients on complex real estate corporate transactions. She joins from Freshfields, where she served as counsel within the Global Transactions – Real Estate team and took charge of the practice in her final year. Her practice covers the acquisition and disposal of asset portfolios — including hotels, office buildings, shopping centres and logistics warehouses — as well as non-performing loans (NPLs), singular assets, joint ventures, real estate financing, commercial leases, sale & leaseback transactions and construction contracts. Her client base includes real estate companies, financial investors, SOCIMIs, investment banks and financial institutions. García completed her training with international secondments at Freshfields’ London and Frankfurt offices, holds a degree in Law and Business Administration (specialisation E-3) from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE) and is a member of the Women in Legal World association.
