Skadden Adds Rafique Bachour as Partner in Brussels Antitrust/Competition Group

Mr. Bachour brings more than 25 years of experience advising global corporates, financial investors (including sovereign wealth funds and state-owned enterprises) and institutional clients on the antitrust and regulatory aspects of global M&A transactions, major joint ventures and high‑stakes foreign investment deals. He has deep global experience in merger control, regulatory strategy, investigations and compliance, and in complex reviews under the European Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR).
He manages highly complex, large‑scale transactions that require a global regulatory and merger‑control strategy and coordinates multijurisdictional defenses in international investigations and ensuing litigation. Mr. Bachour joins Skadden from another global law firm. He is fluent in English, Arabic and French and lectures at King’s College.
