Ryan Tansey Joins King & Spalding as Partner in Business Litigation

"King & Spalding hires Ryan Tansey as a partner in its Business Litigation group in New York. He will work on criminal and civil antitrust matters, follow-on class actions and commercial disputes."

Ryan Tansey, former Chief of the Washington Criminal Section of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, has joined King & Spalding as a partner in the firm’s Business Litigation practice group and is based in the New York office.

Tansey comes to King & Spalding from the DOJ Antitrust Division, where he served as Chief of the Washington Criminal Section, the Division’s largest section, overseeing high-profile enforcement matters and helping advance enforcement priorities, including implementation of the Whistleblower Rewards Program. He joined the DOJ in 2017 and served in multiple roles there, including four and a half years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney. Earlier in his career he practiced at another international law firm focusing on civil and criminal antitrust litigation.

At King & Spalding, Tansey will represent clients in criminal and civil antitrust matters, follow-on class action litigation, and broader commercial disputes.
