Braden Shaw joins Jones Day as partner in Financial Markets Practice in Chicago

Braden Shaw has joined Jones Day as a partner in its Financial Markets Practice in the firm's Chicago office.

Mr. Shaw is a commercial lending attorney with more than a decade of experience advising banks, financial institutions, private equity funds and corporate borrowers on the structuring, documentation and negotiation of a wide range of loan facilities. He has worked on syndicated, bilateral, leveraged, asset-based, private credit, cash flow, mezzanine and acquisition financings, as well as workouts and restructurings of financially distressed companies. He has represented clients across industries including financial services, telecommunications, real estate, retail, energy, healthcare and private equity.

He joins Jones Day as a partner in the Financial Markets Practice and is based in the Chicago office. Mr. Shaw earned his law degree from DePaul University College of Law and his undergraduate degree from Benedictine University. He has been recognized as an emerging lawyer (Ones to Watch) in Banking and Finance Law by Best Lawyers in America (2026).

Mr. Shaw becomes part of Jones Day’s global Financial Markets Practice, a group of nearly 320 lawyers that advises on complex cross-border financial transactions, regulatory matters, investigations and litigation.
