Broadfield appoints two partners in London to strengthen Private Wealth and IP and Technology capabilities
"Broadfield strengthens its London office with partners Sarah Sarwar (Private Wealth) and Ash von Schwan (IP and technology/Commercial)."
Sarah Sarwar joins Broadfield’s Private Wealth team as a partner. She advises high‑net‑worth individuals, internationally mobile families, trustees and family offices on international estate planning, succession structuring and wealth preservation. Her practice covers tax planning, cross‑border inheritance and conflict‑of‑laws issues, trust structuring and governance, and probate and estate administration involving international assets and beneficiaries. Sarah is described as combining technical depth with pragmatic, solutions‑focused advice on sensitive, high‑value matters and often coordinates advisors across multiple jurisdictions to deliver outcomes aligned with long‑term family objectives.
Ash von Schwan joins Broadfield’s Commercial team as a partner specialising in intellectual property and technology transactions. He advises on the full range of non‑contentious IP and commercial matters, with a focus on technology and brand licensing, protection of know‑how and trade secrets, strategic collaborations and the IP aspects of corporate transactions. His experience includes advising clients in consumer, luxury, healthcare, life sciences, software and technology, and energy and infrastructure sectors, and spans acquisitions and disposals, restructurings, security over global IP portfolios and complex research and development collaborations.
