Nixon Peabody adds partner Sarah K. Quinn to Chicago Labor & Employment team
"Nixon Peabody adds Sarah K. Quinn as a partner in its Chicago office to its Labor & Employment practice, where she will handle employment litigation, compliance counseling and strategic workforce matters."
Sarah brings experience in both private practice at large law firms and in-house roles and joins Nixon Peabody’s Labor & Employment practice as a partner. Her work spans reactive representation—handling complex internal investigations, employee claims, agency actions and high‑stakes employment litigation—and proactive counseling, including compliance advice, policy development, training and strategic workforce planning. She advises a diverse range of clients with a particular focus on the restaurant and hospitality industry.
Sarah’s litigation experience includes handling appeals in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and extensive work on Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) collective actions, state wage‑and‑hour class actions, non‑compete claims and employee misclassification in state and federal courts. She also represents clients before administrative bodies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR). Sarah previously served as assistant general counsel to one of the nation’s largest school districts and as a federal law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
