Cuatrecasas hires José Goyburu as finance partner in Peru

Goyburu brings more than 20 years of experience in the banking and finance sector and joins Cuatrecasas as a partner specialising in banking and finance and capital markets. Prior to joining Cuatrecasas, he served as co-head of the banking and finance and capital markets practices at a Peruvian law firm, held the position of legal manager at a Peruvian fiduciary company, and served as senior legal advisor at one of Peru’s main banks.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Master in Banking and Finance Law with a specialization in banking regulation from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, as well as a Diploma in Business Management for Lawyers from Universidad del Pacífico. His work on complex transactions has been recognised by Chambers & Partners in Banking & Finance (Band 3) and Capital Markets (Band 4), as well as by IFLR 1000 and The Legal 500.
