Omar Puertas joins Harvey to advance AI integration in legal practice

Puertas brings more than two decades of legal practice and direct involvement in the first artificial intelligence pilots at Cuatrecasas. At Cuatrecasas he participated in all phases of implementation with Harvey, from initial testing to full-scale rollout. Over time his career shifted toward the technical aspects of AI: he has studied machine learning and statistics and specialised in use case design and advanced prompting. From his current role at Harvey he works with major international firms and corporate legal departments on projects in which AI is operational rather than experimental, focusing on large-scale data analysis, document review and the generation of complex drafts. He emphasises measuring productivity and quality to demonstrate return on AI investment and the value of bridging how machines and lawyers work.
