Kleinberg Kaplan Welcomes Norris Nissim as Partner in Private Funds & Investment Management Practice

"Kleinberg Kaplan hires Norris Nissim as partner in its Private Funds & Investment Management practice; recent additions include Ryan Davis (executive compensation) and Tiffanye Threadcraft (credit and finance)."

Norris Nissim has joined Kleinberg Kaplan as a partner in its Private Funds & Investment Management practice, and the firm has also recently added Ryan Davis and Tiffanye Threadcraft to its roster.

Norris Nissim joins Kleinberg Kaplan as a partner in the Private Funds & Investment Management practice. He spent nearly 20 years as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Luxor Capital Group, a multi‑billion‑dollar global alternative asset manager and longtime Kleinberg Kaplan client. Nissim brings an in‑house perspective on private funds, investment management, securities, trading, compliance, and market‑conduct matters. At the firm he will advise on fund formation and structuring, regulatory compliance and SEC and CFTC examinations, day‑to‑day investment management operations and governance, and trading and market‑conduct issues. Prior to Luxor, Nissim served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel at BKF Asset Management and practiced as an associate at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP and Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP.

Ryan Davis joined Kleinberg Kaplan last month from Torys LLP. At Torys he advised on executive compensation, equity incentive plans, and employment matters in connection with mergers, acquisitions, and financings, work that strengthens the firm’s capabilities for private fund clients structuring management company economics and key‑person arrangements, as well as emerging companies implementing management incentive plans.

Tiffanye Threadcraft joined the firm as senior counsel from Akin Gump, where she represented lenders, borrowers, and alternative capital providers across acquisition financings, debt restructurings, cross‑border financings, and subscription line facilities, deepening the firm’s credit and finance platform.
