Ana Sabiote joins Ouigo España as Head of Legal and Regulatory Affairs

Ana Sabiote has been appointed head of legal and regulatory affairs at Ouigo España, with the role becoming effective on 30 June.

Sabiote joins Ouigo España from KPMG Abogados, where she served as a partner in the Regulatory, Administrative and Competition practice and headed the Defence area. She will enter Ouigo España in a senior in-house leadership role as head of legal and regulatory affairs. Prior to KPMG Abogados, Sabiote spent more than 16 years at Uría Menéndez, where she built her career within the public law and environmental departments and was appointed counsel in 2021.

Throughout her career she has advised national and international clients on public procurement, public-private partnerships, infrastructure and regulated sectors, with particular expertise in transport, energy and administrative law. She also has extensive experience in railway regulation and liberalisation matters, advising clients on the evolving regulatory framework governing rail operators in Spain. She holds degrees in Law and International Relations and in Political Science from ICADE.

Sabiote succeeds Patricia Miranda Villar, who recently left Ouigo España to join SNCF Voyages Italia as director of legal affairs, regulation and compliance.
