Vaciero strengthens sports law practice with two appointments

Alfredo Olivares will lead the sports law area at Vaciero. A Madrid-registered lawyer with an MBA in Sports Entity Management, he brings over 20 years of experience in sports law and governance. His career includes senior roles at the Spanish Basketball Federation and the Royal Spanish Football Federation, as well as participation in various international committees of FIBA Europe and UEFA. His areas of expertise span regulation, sports discipline, federal electoral processes, governance and strategic advisory.
Elvira Andrés joins Vaciero as of counsel, focusing on governance, compliance and sports integrity. A law graduate, she has held senior positions at the National Futsal League, the Spanish Basketball Federation and the Royal Spanish Football Federation. At the international level she has been a member of UEFA’s Governance and Compliance Committee and the FIBA Europe Appeals Commission.
Together, the two appointments strengthen Vaciero’s capacity to advise clubs, federations, leagues, operators and investors across areas including sports regulation and discipline, governance, compliance, corporate transactions and restructurings within the sports ecosystem.
