Perkins Coie Adds Marc T. Campopiano to Environment, Energy & Resources Practice in San Diego
"Perkins Coie hires Marc T. Campopiano as partner in its Environment, Energy & Resources practice in San Diego. He will advise on environmental review and energy and infrastructure projects (CEQA, NEPA)."
Marc represents real estate developers, energy companies, transmission line developers and utilities on large and master-planned communities, major renewable and conventional power projects, large-scale transmission lines, energy storage facilities, gas pipelines, and energy transition matters. He advises clients on environmental review requirements in California and across the U.S., including under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). He has guided clients before local, state, and federal agencies such as the Bureau of Land Management, California Public Utilities Commission, and California Energy Commission, and frequently advises on laws including the California Endangered Species Act, National Historic Preservation Act, Clean Air Act, Subdivision Map Act, and Housing Accountability Act. Marc has also developed technical expertise in wildfire, climate change, air quality, health risks, and cultural resources.
Marc joins Perkins Coie as a partner from a global law firm where he most recently served as a partner in the environment, land, and resources practice and previously served as the local chair of that practice. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from UCLA, a Juris Doctor from UC Berkeley School of Law, and a Master of Environmental Science & Management from UC Santa Barbara.
