Birketts appoints Tristan Ward as Partner to strengthen rural property team

A landed estates and agricultural law specialist with a substantial high net worth client base, Ward brings nearly 30 years’ experience advising clients in London on a wide range of real estate matters, particularly relating to rural and agricultural property. He has been ranked in the Chambers UK Guide for 20 years. Ward was also a partner in his family’s farming business for 14 years, giving him deep roots in the Kent farming community.
His arrival expands Birketts’ South East agriculture team, led by Adam Burden in Sevenoaks, to six legal professionals and increases the firm’s total number of agriculture Partners to 10.
Birketts’ Head of Agriculture, Chris Coupland, welcomed the appointment, noting Ward’s practical farming experience and London contacts as assets that will strengthen the firm’s presence in the City. Ward said he was pleased to join Birketts and looks forward to supporting Adam in building the South-East team while extending the firm’s reach into London.
