Barnes & Thornburg Expands Healthcare Department with Three Counsel Hires
"Barnes & Thornburg hires Dwayne Piñon, Emily Tremmel and Meredith Williams as counsel in its Healthcare Department to strengthen pharmacy law, healthcare transactions, and federal fraud and abuse compliance."
Dwayne Piñon joins the firm's Chicago office as counsel. He brings nearly 30 years of in-house legal experience at Walgreens and a background as a licensed pharmacist to his healthcare regulatory practice.
Emily Tremmel, based in Chicago, joins Barnes & Thornburg as counsel. She has spent the past three decades advising physicians and healthcare entities on corporate and regulatory matters, working both in private practice and as in-house counsel.
Meredith Williams joins the firm's Washington, D.C. office as counsel. She advises healthcare clients on federal fraud and abuse compliance, regulatory strategy, and government investigations, drawing on more than 20 years as a senior attorney at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General.
