FPS strengthens antitrust practice with partner hire Dr. Andrea Pomana from Simmons & Simmons

At FPS Dr. Andrea Pomana will take the lead in building and expanding the firm’s antitrust (cartel) practice. She advises national and international companies on all matters of European and German competition law, as well as on foreign direct investments and third‑country subsidies. She supports clients in complex transactions, international merger control proceedings and in cases concerning dominance, antitrust investigations, public procurement law, state aid and compliance. Pomana brings particular sector expertise in the defence, energy and chemical industries and in the technology and healthcare sectors.
Pomana also has long‑standing experience in distribution, general EU law, sanctions and trade issues and is an established speaker at conferences and workshops and an author of national and international specialist publications. Her work touches other core areas of FPS, notably corporate law/M&A, energy law, foreign trade law, procurement, state aid and funding law, as well as public law and regulation.
With this reinforcement in competition law, FPS is further expanding its commercial law strengths and intensifying cross‑office cooperation, thereby strengthening its advisory capabilities in key legal areas and reaffirming its commitment to providing comprehensive, interdisciplinary client support.
