Ecija adds Alejandro Puyo as partner in Barcelona
"Ecija hires Alejandro Puyo as partner in its Barcelona office to strengthen its tax practice; he will work on tax advisory, tax planning, M&A, restructurings, international taxation and tax proceedings."
Puyo brings extensive experience in recurring tax advisory and tax planning, as well as in M&A transactions, corporate restructurings, international taxation and tax proceedings. He will join Ecija’s tax team at partner level. Throughout his career he has advised companies across multiple sectors, supporting them in strategic decisions with significant tax implications. He holds a law degree with a specialisation in tax law and has previously worked at other law firms, advising both domestic corporate groups and international investors.
Ecija’s Barcelona managing partner, Xavi Muñoz, noted that Puyo’s experience, strategic vision and client-focused approach strengthen the firm’s capacity to deliver comprehensive tax advisory services. Puyo described the move as an opportunity to continue developing his practice at a firm he characterised as young and innovative, and expressed his intention to contribute to the growth of the tax area and support clients in their current and future challenges.
