Howes Percival appoints Tim Ryan as Partner in Agriculture team
"Howes Percival appoints Tim Ryan as Partner in its Agriculture team; he will work on agricultural and estate matters including land transactions, strategic land agreements, farm tenancies and renewable projects."
He advises landowners and farming businesses on the sale, purchase and letting of farms and agricultural land, together with wider estate management and diversification projects. His experience includes advising on photovoltaic and anaerobic digestion plants, the development and letting of redundant farm buildings, and a range of collaboration, promotion, option, overage and pre-emption agreements. He joins Howes Percival as a Partner.
Tim’s strategic land expertise enables him to act for private and institutional landowners on the negotiation of complex, multi-million-pound option, promotion, collaboration and contribution agreements. Combined with his detailed knowledge of farm tenancies and environmental schemes, this allows him to ensure that landowners do not agree to unworkable possession or early entry provisions.
Howes Percival’s Agriculture team handles the management of landed estates and large farms, tax-efficient structuring, agricultural property, development land and tax. The team supports the firm’s broader Private Client Services practice to provide a full-service offering covering the legal needs of landowners, landed estates and farmers.
