Dentons Canada strengthens national Real Estate group with partner Michael Kershaw

Prior to joining Dentons, Michael was a partner at a leading national law firm. He enters Dentons at partner level, having previously practised as a partner in private practice and having also held in‑house and public sector roles, including service as assistant general counsel of a private Real Estate Investment Trust and as associate city solicitor for a large Ontario municipality.
Michael’s practice covers the full spectrum of real estate transactions, with particular strength in complex financing structures, project and construction financings, commercial mortgage lending and property development. He has acted on transactions across a broad range of asset classes, including multifamily housing, condominium construction, industrial and residential subdivisions, self‑storage, hospitality properties, and office and commercial properties, providing practical and timely advice to clients.
Dentons says this addition, together with the recent arrival of Kamil Umar as a partner in the Calgary Real Estate group, enhances its national Real Estate practice and its capacity to support the financing and development of complex real estate assets.
