Simmons & Simmons appoints Han Ming Ho as Singapore partner to strengthen investment funds capability

Han Ming Ho will join international law firm Simmons & Simmons as a partner in Singapore.

Han Ming is a Singapore-qualified funds lawyer joining Simmons & Simmons from Reed Smith, where he led the Asia Pacific Investment Management and Funds group. He previously held partnership roles at Sidley Austin and Clifford Chance in Singapore, where he established and led their Singapore investment funds practices.

His practice covers asset management and investment funds across Asia-Pacific, advising investment managers, sponsors and institutional investors on fund structuring, formation and operation. He works on a wide range of strategies and structures, including hedge funds, private equity, real estate, private credit and special situations, and advises on both manager-side and investor-side matters. Han Ming also has particular experience at the intersection of funds, regulation and technology, including advising clients in the digital assets ecosystem and on the tokenisation and structuring of tokenised funds for offerings in the Asia-Pacific region.

A key focus of his work is guiding clients on the establishment and expansion of Asia-Pacific operations, in particular Singapore, covering fund structuring, licensing and other financial regulatory matters. He also advises on Singapore domiciliation and structuring of fund platforms, including the re-domiciliation of offshore structures into Singapore vehicles.
