Pinsent Masons appoints Lucía González as M&A Energy Partner in Madrid

González brings more than 15 years of experience in the energy sector. Her practice specialises in energy and renewables transactions, advising investors, developers, producers, contractors, distributors and energy suppliers on the structuring and development of complex transactional matters in Spain and internationally. Her work covers the acquisition and disposal of wind and solar portfolios, investment platforms and bespoke solutions for emerging business models including self-consumption, hybrid projects, energy storage, renewable gases and data centres.
González joins Pinsent Masons from Ontier, where she served as the partner responsible for the renewables sector; she is entering Pinsent Masons with the seniority of Partner. Her appointment will strengthen the firm’s Spanish energy team led by Hermenegildo Altozano. The hire follows other recent additions to the Spanish energy team, including Leticia Sitges as Legal Director.
