BakerHostetler strengthens Dallas commercial litigation bench with Lisa Staler Gallerano

"Lisa Staler Gallerano joins BakerHostetler in Dallas as of counsel on the Commercial Litigation team, bringing nearly 40 years of complex business litigation experience and 10 years as in-house general counsel."

Lisa Staler Gallerano has joined BakerHostetler’s Dallas office as of counsel in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group and as a member of the Commercial Litigation team.

Gallerano enters BakerHostetler as of counsel after reentering private practice following ten combined years as in-house general counsel. For the past five years she served as executive vice president and general counsel of a Texas-based commercial bank, where she managed litigation, trademark, patent, commercial contracts and insurance matters and worked closely with executive management, branch leadership, the board of the publicly reporting bank holding company, and regulatory, compliance, human resources and information security teams.

She previously spent five years as senior vice president and general counsel for a global marketing company that provides data intelligence and customer insights, where she guided a team of more than 25 attorneys and paraprofessionals managing company litigation and overseeing matters related to privacy, data governance and information security, compliance, commercial contracts, patents and trademarks, human resources, mergers and acquisitions, government relations, and internal and external audits.

Before moving in-house, Gallerano spent 28 years with a multinational Am Law 50 firm, including 19 years as a lead trial partner in a complex business litigation practice representing both corporate defendants and plaintiffs in commercial disputes, class and derivative actions, fiduciary duty litigation, arbitration and government and internal investigations. During that tenure she built a strong litigation practice, served as her office’s hiring partner and received awards for mentoring and pro bono work.
