Arnold & Porter Adds Nicola Chesaites as Partner to London Antitrust/Competition Litigation Team
"Arnold & Porter welcomes Nicola Chesaites as a partner in its London Antitrust/Competition litigation practice, where she will work on competition damages, collective actions and EU litigation."
Nicola is a UK-qualified barrister and a Belgian advocaat with more than 17 years of experience in competition damages litigation, collective (class) actions under the UK’s private enforcement regime, and complex European Union litigation. She has represented claimants and defendants before the English courts and the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal, and has appeared before the EU General Court and the Court of Justice on behalf of corporates and EU institutions in disputes spanning banking resolution, trade, sanctions, pharmaceuticals, and transportation. She holds an LL.M. from the College of Europe, an LL.B. from the University of Westminster, and a License in French Law from Université Paris X Nanterre.
Firm leaders said Nicola’s arrival strengthens Arnold & Porter’s competition and commercial litigation capabilities and that her dual qualification as both a barrister and a Belgian advocaat will enhance the firm’s ability to support clients across the UK and EU on cross-border antitrust matters and interconnected litigation, regulatory, and transactional needs.
